Founded in 1996 by Mrs Georges Marie Celine CASTORIX in Le Moule at the site known as PORTLAND, the EMERAUDE residence is an "EHPAD" (French establishment for the care of the elderly) and accommodates both dependent and independent elderly people. It is well-positioned between the sea and the countryside. The EMERAUDE residence has 25 beds. It is an establishment in which family life retains all of its meaning.

Residents are given appropriate support depending on their degree of dependency.

Single people and couples of any geographical origin with a minimum age of 60 years are accepted.

The EMERAUDE residence EHPAD is approved by the Conseil Général (French county council) and the ARS (Regional Health Agency).

The Director Catherine VERDOL and her team make every effort to offer residents accommodation in which all their requirements are understood and taken into consideration.

The establishment undertakes to respond in an appropriate way to the needs and wishes of every person accommodated, by offering them services that comply with quality and safety standards.

In terms of medical care, the EHPAD is familiar with the effects and medical consequences of aging and provides appropriate support for its teams. Supervised by a coordinating doctor and a referral doctor, the day and night teams receive continuous, optimal support.
